Traffic Controller

Essential Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

Responsibilities:

  • Controls movement of vehicular traffic through construction projects

  • Directs movement of traffic through job site according to Traffic Control Plan

  • Must possess a valid driver's license and have a good driving history

  • Ability to work days/nights/weekends or out of town if necessary

  • Must have own reliable transportation

Asphalt Crew Team Member

The Murray Group is seeking an experienced Asphalt Crew Team Member with the following attributes;

  • Operate skid steer/steel rollers

  • Load, unload and move construction materials around the worksite

  • Level asphalt to fine grade specifications using rake and shovel

  • Operate pneumatic hammers, vibrators, and tampers as directed

  • Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor

  • Raise manholes and water valves when required

 

Requirements:

  • Experience with grading, road work, and asphalt paving and/or general construction

  • Proficiency in working with hand tools, and willing to work with concrete demolition equipment and/or compressor tools           

  • Must possess a valid unrestricted driver's license and have a good driving history (CVOR)

  • Ability to work days/nights/weekends or out of town if necessary

  • Must have reliable transportation

AZ Driver

Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to Company Safety policy and procedures

  • Ensure timely deliveries to paving crews

  • Report to various job sites as requested

  • Assist asphalt crews and labour as required

  • Complete CVOR related paperwork / Log Book, Circle Check, Etc.

  • Work on various job sites across Wellington, Grey, Bruce, Perth and Dufferin Counties

 

Requirements:         

  • AZ License – asphalt or gravel experience an asset

  • Must be highly productive, punctual, and reliable

  • Able to work independently with little supervision

  • Experience operating various types of trucks including triaxles, tag-along trailers and live bottom tractor trailers

  • Must be willing to work flexible hours, occasional Saturdays

  • Must have own transportation

  • Able to safely operate various types of paving equipment, an asset

  • Able to load and off-load heavy equipment, an asset

  • Ability to help paving crews with labour when required

  • Willing to work in weather conditions that may be adverse (hot/cold/rain)

Administrative Clerk

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with accounting processing functions including A/P, A/R, and payroll

  • Process invoices, including entering orders and tickets, accounts receivable collections, billing research, and invoicing/account management

  • Daily bank deposits

  • Help process mail

  • Assist in preparation of monthly financial reports

  • Update excel spreadsheets

  • Other duties as required

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years office experience

  • Strong written and verbal communication

  • Positive attitude and a team player

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Ability to multitask and maintain a high degree of accuracy

  • A valid Ontario Driver's License and access to reliable transportation
